Services Offered At Eye Site Vision Center
At Eye Site Vision Center, our optometrist, Dr. Gary Goberville, and the rest of our staff prioritize healthy eyes for all our patients. That means we treat everything from astigmatism to computer vision syndrome. Services we offer are:
“Eye diseases” is a general term that refers to a wide variety of diseases that are related to the functioning of the eye. It is common for most people to experience some type of “minor” eye problems from time to time and vision problems generally increase as you age.
Your eye health is very important, which is why we recommend you receive regular eye exams at least every year. Dr. Goberville will first start with a consultation to talk to you about your eye pain, irritation, or other symptoms. Then he will do a visual examination, peripheral vision test, eye muscle test, color vision test, depth perception test, and a standard vision evaluation.
Glasses and Sunglasses Fittings
UV rays can hurt your eyes. That’s why the sunglasses you choose must shield your eyes from these rays. The glasses you select should be more than just nice-looking, but should correct your vision and fit properly. With our eye doctor Dr. Goberville’s help, you can find the right glasses and sunglasses for you.
Contact Lenses Fittings
Some people prefer rigid contacts and some prefer them softer. No matter what kind of contacts you want, we’re certain you can find them here at Eye Site Vision Center. We currently offer extended-wear disposable, extended-wear, daily-wear soft, and rigid gas-permeable contacts.
In some situations, regular contacts won’t cut it. Eye diseases and conditions like presbyopia, keratoconus, giant papillary conjunctivitis, dry eye, and astigmatism can alter the fit of your contacts. In that case, our eye doctor will recommend hard-to-fit contacts, which have a different shape than regular contacts.
Lasik Eye Consultation
Have you always wanted a clear vision? If you’re tired of wearing contacts and glasses all the time, you may be interested in the laser surgery Lasik. Also called laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses, this is a procedure that reduces astigmatism, farsightedness, and nearsightedness. Dr. Goberville will be with you every step of the way to answer questions you may have.
Vision Therapy FAQ's
There is more to vision therapy than simply strengthening the eyes. It also enhances the neurological connections between the eyes and the brain. Eyes are the windows of the brain. It directly influences sight based on how it interprets images received. A healthy connection between the eyes and the brain is essential for good eyesight.
If you don’t want to get surgery for clearer vision, we recommend Ortho-K. This is a vision correction procedure that eventually weans you off wearing contacts and glasses. That said, the treatment itself involves specialty contacts that improve light refraction in the cornea.
A common affliction in today’s technological society, Dr. Goberville will recommend one of several tests to confirm computer vision syndrome. These are eye coordination and focus tests, refraction, and visual acuity tests. By making lifestyle changes, it’s possible to treat the painful symptoms of computer vision syndrome.
Sports vision testing helps athletes determine how well their eyes perform. These tests go beyond standard eye tests that only evaluate the ability to see letters and objects clearly on a standard eye chart.
Glasses say so much about your personality and personal style. At Eye Site Vision Center, we are happy to work with you in selecting frames that complement your features. Our experienced optometry professionals work closely with you to select the proper frames to fit your budget as well as your cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs.
Many people are cheered by a bright, sunny day, but the effect of all that sunlight on the eyes is a less sunny proposition. UV radiation and glare can create a variety of issues, from dangerous “snowblindness” to irreversible disorders that threaten your eyesight.
We all want to protect our vision; that’s why it is important to have an annual eye exam. Annual eye health exams allow us to detect changes in the front of your eye so that alterations can be made to your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. However, we also need to examine the back of your eye the retina to check if it is healthy, damaged or showing signs of disease.
One of our main missions here at Eye Site Vision Center (with locations in Coral Springs, and Lighthouse Point) is to provide a diverse range of services and treatment options for our equally diverse group of patients. Scleral lenses are one such treatment option which has helped thousands of people experience better eyesight and more comfortable eyes!
